Engineering Research and Industrial Technology Council

The programs are under the supervision of the Industrial Research and Consultation Centre, established in 1965, by assistance of the United Nation's Development Organization (UNIDO). IRCC is a national non- commercial centre. The primary objective of the Centre is taking active role in the promotion and development of the industrial sector, through executive and consultative assistance. The Centre is now affiliated to the Ministry of Science and Technology.

 

 

Objectives

 

 

  • Giving priority to applied scientific research related to the problems faced by the industrial sector.
  • Transfer, nationalization of technology and development of local technology.
  • Urging researches and innovators to work for the production of new local technologies, innovations and patents for the enhancement of the national development.
  • Utilization and development of local industrial raw material, in the various engineering sectors, e.g. Electricity, communication, building materials, conductors, weaving, energy, environment, environmental engineering, design and production engineering, biotechnology and industrial engineering.
  • Design of training programs in various industrial disciplines.
  • Cooperation and linking with international inveterate academies in various vital aspects.
